IN HONOR OF OLD GOLD AND BLACK’S 100TH BIRTHDAY, A LETTER FORM THE EDITORS OF 1949—

The Old Gold and Black has always attempted to serve as a barometer of student opinion on the campus through our editorial and features columns. We do our best to reflect accurately the feelings and thoughts of the Wofford student body.

But the best means of reflecting student opinion, letters to the editors, has often been neglected because of your negligence in writing to us. Remember that this is your paper, written by you to serve you, and that your best means of expressing yourselves is through these columns.

We will attempt to print all letters which deal with subjects of interests, and not with personalities, and which are properly signed. Please keep your letters as short as possible. But by all means, write.

And to start the ball rolling, we have one message, only this is from us to you.

To The Student Body:

As you can no doubt plainly see, this wonderful news sheet, the OLD GHOUL AND BLINKER, is sadly in need of good news reporters, feature writers, columnists, sports writers, in fact, all the help connected with a newspaper.

We not only need you, we would like to have YOU working with us, so if you think you have a little something to contribute, drop by our office and sign your life away. We’re in at odd times of the day and night (and we do mean night), or you might be able to catch us on the campus (if you can run fast).
