Sept. 21
Garner-Webb 10 at Wofford 49
The Terriers faced the Garner-Webb Bulldogs at home and defended their home turf. Joe Newman, ’20, led the Terrier rushing attack with 155 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries, as well as added another 67 yards and another touchdown on 3-5 passing. Blake Morgan, ’20, also contrib- uted 68 yards and two additional touchdowns in 10 carries. Nathan Walker, ’22, and Jaquez Allen, ’23, rushed for 69 and 70 yards respectively. Walker also ran for a touchdown. Defensively, Jireh Wilson, ‘20, had eight tackles, including three sacks.
Sept. 28
Wofford 51 at Virginia Military Institute 36
Wofford traveled to Lexington, Virginia to play the VMI Keydets. Newman threw for 142 yards on five passes for eight attempts and added 97 more yards on 10 attempts. Jaquez Allen, Blake Morgan, Ryan Lovelace, ’21, Nathan Walker and D’mauriae VanCleave, ’22, all rushed for at least 40 yards in the game. Morgan also rushed for two touchdowns, and Lovelace ran in one more. On defense, nine Terriers had at least five tackles. Dimitri Redwood, ’20, led the team with 11 total tackles including one for a loss. Jireh Wilson also had 10 tackles, two of which were for a loss.

Men
Sept. 8-10 at the Badger Invitational and Sept. 23-24 at the Graeme McDowell Invitational
The Men’s Golf Team traveled to University Ridge Golf Course in Madison, Wisconsin for the Badger Invitation- al hosted by the Wisconsin Badgers and finished 14 of 16 teams. Ryan Marter, ‘21, had the highest finish for the Ter- riers tied for 29 at a three over par, 219. At a five over par, 221, Walker Simas, ’20, finished tied for 47 as the next high- est finisher for the Terriers. Two weeks later, the team made their way to Greystone Golf and Country Club in Birming- ham, Albama for the Graeme McDowell Invitational hosted by the University of Alabama at Birmingham and finished tied for 17 of 19 teams. Simas finished four over par after both rounds.
Women
Sept. 23-24 at the Elon Invitational
The Lady Terriers traveled to Alamance Country Club in Elon, North Carolina, for the Elon Invitational hosted by the Elon Phoenix. They finished 2 overall in the tournament. Becca Earl, ‘22, finished 2 overall in the tournament, com- ing in three under par at 211. Lina Settelmayer, ‘21, finished tied for 11 with a five over par 218. Lindsey Hollis, ‘23, tied for 22 shooting a ten over par 223.
Cross-Country
Sept. 27 at the Virginia Invitational
Both the men’s and women’s cross-country teams partic- ipated in the Virginia Invitational held in Charlottesville, Virginia. The women finished 12 in a 6K race, while the men finished 16 in an 8K race. Hannah Steelman, ‘21, fin- ished 3 overall with a 20:26 time, only finishing behind runners from Michigan State, a nationally ranked program, and Florida. Taryn Schoen, ‘20, was the Lady Terrier’s next highest finisher running a 22:59 finishing 80. For the men, Jack Zemp ran a 26:38 finishing 115.

Men’s
Sept. 21
Wofford 4 at UNC Asheville 0
The Terrier soccer team traveled to Asheville, North Carolina to take on the University of North Carolina Asheville Bulldogs and won 4-0. Forward Brandon Oddy, ’23, led the team with a goal and an assist. Defender Ole Berg, ’22, for- ward Adrian Roseth, ’23, and forward Meade Fowler, ’23, all added a goal. Berg’s goal was assisted by midfielder Austin Tuggle, ’20.
Sept. 24
Charlotte 3 at Wofford 2 (Overtime)
The men played at home against the University of North Carolina at Charlotte 49ers and lost 3-2. The Terriers jumped out to a 2-0 lead on goals by Oddy, assisted by Fowler, and by defender Buster Sjoberg, ’23, assisted by forward Ade Akinjogbin, ’22. The Terriers allowed two goals after the seventieth minute and fell in overtime.
