Wofford prepares for MLK Day 2019

Every January, Wofford has its yearly Interim period: a time for students to take classes that allow them to engage in activities that they are interested in, that they enjoy or that they are simply just open-minded about and willing to try. However, one of the more important January events is Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day on January 21. This day is dedicated to highlighting and celebrating the ideals of service that Dr. King so strongly believed in, and Wofford will make that day not a “day off,” but a “day on.” MLK Day 2019 will feature a host of different programs and activities that have been designed and proposed by students and faculty alike. All members of the Wofford community are encouraged to get out, be active and serve the community in the most effective way possible. Mark your calendars. After all, as our former Wofford slogan said, it’s our world, so we might as well serve it.
